Personal reaction to the book.

1. I liked the fact that the story was about a family and that almost nobody knew that the parents of Julie, Jack, Sue and Tom died. I also liked the way Ian McEwan wrote the book. It pleased me that the story was told from Jack’s point of view, so that I only knew what he was thinking. It made the story more interesting and exciting.
2. My favourite scene was when the children discovered that their mother was dead and when the decided to keep it a secret. This made the whole story a little bit mysterious and more interesting. You alrea
